In 2012, 300 Veterans were placed in jobs with an 87% retention rate.

Veterans' Workforce Investment Program (VWIP) - works with veterans to provide short-term training to create paths to employment and upward mobility. Practices for success include but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive case management
  • Pertinent referrals to assist in identifying and overcoming barriers to employment
  • Classes at local community colleges or other schooling for higher wage positions or continuing education credits to allow for promotion  and employment maintenance
  • Direct placement for on-the-job training with local employers
  • Assistance in acquiring specific schooling and employment needs
  • Follow-up

All veterans with at least one day of credible active service are eligible except those with dishonorable discharges.
