Veterans Employment and Training Services (VETS)

How to Qualify for Services: 

 

  • Veteran - at least 1 day of active service
  • Discharge from military (including National Guard and Coast Guard) that is other than dishonorable
  • Strong desire to work with realistic, short-term, career goals

You enroll for 9 months of follow up and during those 9 months participants are eligible for additional employment training, skill-set enhancements, and employment retention incentive

Can help with required continuation education credits.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

How to Qualify for Services: 

  • Individuals or families whose head of household or spouse is a veteran.
  • Veteran families whose gross annual income is at or below 50% of the county's average median income.  Based upon the county of residence, the maximum allowable income for a single person could range from $16,950 - $22,800; whereas, a family of 3 could range from $21,750 - $29,300.
  • The family is one of the following situations: 1) currently residing in permanent housing but at imminent risk of becoming homeless; 2) homeless and scheduled to become a resident of permanent housing within the next 90 days; 3) homeless having exited permanent housing in the last 90 days.
