Shelter Ministry |
Taking in the StrangerThe
ABCCM Shelter Ministry provides temporary emergency shelter
for individuals and families who need a temporary safe-haven
before moving back in the community.
ABCCM operates two shelters
for homeless individuals and families in our community. "A Vet's Place" at 207 Coxe Avenue serves 65 veterans in a transitional housing facility and has 12 emergency shelter beds; while the
Women and Children's Shelter at 141 Hillside Street provide
shelter for 43 women and children.
The Shelter Ministry's
goal is to help each homeless person regain their independence
through work and a faith understanding of life.
