WELCOME TO THE JAIL MINISTRY OF ABCCM
The Jail Ministry currently has fifty six (56) active volunteers who participate in Bible study and life skills ministries on a monthly basis. Through a ministry of presence; our volunteers provide a listening environment of support and spiritual guidance to both men and women.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Volunteers:
Provide inmates with easily understood Bible study.
Provide a listening environment for intentional ministry.
Facilitate and engage small groups (10) in discussions which empower and motivate.
Offer donated reading materials.
NEEDS
Men and women with a heart to serving the less fortunate and dedicated to winning souls to the Kingdom of God.
Those willing to commit a consistent number of hours to ACCCM Jail Ministry on a monthly basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
A strong Christian orientation with a desire to assisting inmates to become reconciled with God.
If this sounds like your ministry or calling, we at ABCCM would welcome the opportunity to meet with you.
Volunteers must go through an ABCCM orientation, as well as, a Buncombe County Detention Facility (BCDF) orientation appropriate to the rules, regulations and proper conduct of the institution.

The ABCCM Jail Ministry brings hope and direction to prisoners seeking to reenter the community in a safe and responsible manner. The Ministry provides a variety programs in the various correctional facilities in Buncombe County.
