Cooling Assistance
We need to replenish funds paid out over this past winter - which
seems to be lingering as of April 5th!
Please see our Cooling Assistance

Adopt a Child for our "Back
to School" Program
How
would you feel to show up at school - the only kid without a
backpack? ABCCM is asking your help to give confidence and put
a smile on every kid's face on the first day of school.
Make
a donation of any amount today to help ABCCM provide backpacks and
school supplies for children who otherwise would not have the
necessary supplies to start the school year off right.
The
Kiwanis Club of
Asheville
is providing 600 backpacks with 250 going to ABCCM. Each year
the need grows and these backpacks are gone within a few days.
This year ABCCM is helping Kiwanians obtain supplies so even
more children will be helped. To
provide all the needed school supplies - including a new backpack
– send a $30 donation for an elementary child and/or $40 for a
middle school child.
Thrift Store
828-259-5322
The ABCCM Donations Center and Thrift Store serve as the hub for
the thousands of items donated to the Ministry. All donated goods
are received at the warehouse at 217 Coxe Avenue where they are
sorted and distributed. The ABCCM Crisis Ministry sites receive
first priority for donated clothes and household goods. Excess items
are routed to the ABCCM Thrift Store (also at 217 Coxe Avenue),
where donated items are converted to needed funds for Ministry programs.
In addition, the Donations Center contains a bailing operation which
takes old and unusable clothing and material and sells it for recycling,
producing needed funds for the Ministry, and aiding in protecting
the environment through recycling.
The Donation Center also serves as the distribution point for
major furniture and appliances that are distributed to those in
need, assisting homeless individuals and families in moving back
into community housing.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
